Hey there! Thank you for choosing Western Tactical Firearms (WTF) for your firearm needs. We appreciate your business and want to make sure that you have a smooth and stress-free experience with us.
Before you send your firearm to us, please take a moment to read and agree to our terms and conditions. We do reserve the right to change these terms at any time for any reason, but we promise to keep you informed of any updates.
We also reserve the right to reject or deny your transfer, but we hope that won't happen! If you're not sure whether to send your firearm to us or buy it directly through us, please reach out and we'll see if we can match the price for you.
If you're a seller, please make sure to send your firearm via a common carrier like FedEx or UPS with adult signature required. Pistols must come via express, and rifles can be sent via ground service.
Please, do not send firearms via USPS!
If you're an FFL holder or retailer, we require a copy of your Federal Firearms License (FFL), the CFLC Firearms Shipment Approval, and an invoice with the gun. Please email FFL@westerntacticalfirearms.com to get our FFL info. Also, please make sure the gun is CA legal before it arrives at our store.
Again, do not send firearms via USPS!
If you're a private seller, you must include a legible copy of your current state-issued identification, your phone number, and email address. Additionally, you need to provide some type of bill of sale or invoice with the buyer's information. You don't need a CFLC approval letter, but please, do not send firearms via USPS!
Customers, please double-check that the firearm you're buying is California legal. If you're not sure, please contact us before purchasing the firearms because we may be able to help.
When your gun arrives at our store, it may take 3-5 business days to get it into our log and ready for the DROS process. Please wait for a member of our staff to contact you to schedule an appointment. We need to have all the required documents before we can start the DROS. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.
Lastly, please read and follow our terms and conditions. We want to make sure you're fully aware of our policies and procedures. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact us. We're here to help!
Thank you for choosing Western Tactical Firearms. We look forward to serving you soon!

Terms & Conditions
We want to make sure that everything is legal and compliant when transferring a firearm, so there are a few things you need to know. First of all, there are some fees involved: a $75 transfer fee, a $37.19 DROS fee, and an 8.25% tax on the purchase price if it hasn't already been paid.
Before sending your firearm to us, please make sure that it is 100% legal in California and has a 10-round magazine and a CA-approved lock. If you're not sure whether your firearm is legal, please contact us for guidance.
For pistols, please check that it's listed exactly on the CA Roster of Approved Handguns and is not classified as an assault pistol. We have helpful flowcharts on our website to guide you.
Similarly, for rifles and shotguns, we have flowcharts on our website to help you determine whether they are legal in California.
If you send us a handgun that cannot be transferred to you, we will charge a transfer fee of $150 plus return shipping costs. We will not accept credit or debit cards for this transaction.
If we receive an illegal firearm on your behalf, we will send it out of state at your expense. The minimum charge for this will be $250.
Please pick up your firearm within 60 days of its arrival. If any firearms are left at WTF past 60 days with no communication, the firearm is forfeited to WTF and will be sold to cover any storage fees accrued.
If you are not eligible to own a firearm for any reason, there will be an additional $150 fee to return the firearm to the seller. If you are not eligible to receive the firearm for any reason, it must be returned to the seller. It cannot be transferred to someone else.
Finally, we ask that you wait for us to contact you and arrange an appointment for your DROS. We will not release firearms with an "Undermined" status from the DES/DROS system. Please make sure your name is on the invoice that accompanied the firearm.
